building regulation and CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

Building regulations are a set of industry standards that must be adhered to in the design and construction of all new buildings and any alterations to existing buildings. The standards are extensive and include the consideration of the type, suitability and sustainability of materials and proposed construction methods, structural matters, fire safety, sound and heat insulation, glazing, energy conservation and disabled access to buildings.

Square Box Architecture always design to the current Building Regulation Standards and we can provide a full construction package for your project. We produce all the necessary technical and construction drawings to show the materials and construction methods that should be used to build your new home and technical data to demonstrate that we have designed your building in accordance with current guidelines. Project Management

Good Project Management is extremely important in the construction industry. Without it, costs and build times undoubtedly spiral and build quality can be compromised.

We offer a full Project Management service. We prepare and manage the tender process in order to find you a suitable contractor and then perform regular site inspections throughout the build. We make sure that your building is being constructed to our exact design and that the correct materials and construction methods are being used. We will also continually assess the quality of the workmanship.

We use interactive construction scheduling software, shared between all parties involved in the construction process, to coordinate and continually monitor the progress of your project. This promotes teamwork and prevents any delays on site and their associated costs.

We see our job as being the middle man between the client and the contractor. We ensure the contractor has a complete understanding of your brief and prevent errors and delays during construction. We are also there to mediate any issues that may arise and available to answer any questions you or the contractor may have throughout the process.
