PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Good Project Management is extremely important in the construction industry. Without it, costs and build times undoubtedly spiral and build quality can be compromised.

As part of our service, we perform regular site inspections and coordinate and continually monitor the progress of your build through the use of an interactive construction schedule, shared between all parties involved in the project.

We see our job as being the middle man between the client and the contractor. We ensure the contractor has a complete understanding of your brief and prevent errors and delays during construction. We are also there to mediate any issues that may arise and available to answer any questions you may have throughout the process.

Benefits of Project Management:

Construction Excellence. A fundamental part of our project management is to ensure the construction works are being carried out in accordance with the contract documents. We will make sure your contractor is building to our exact design and that the correct materials are being used. Deviations from the construction drawings are actually the most common reason for major time and cost elevations within the construction industry as a whole, and they are completely avoidable with regular checks and good communication. Regular inspections will be carried out on site and we are always on hand to answer any questions you or the contractor may have throughout the building process. This means the likelihood of any errors occurring is greatly reduced in the first place!

Efficient Scheduling. There are many different trades and materials needed on a building site at different times and their careful coordination is of utmost importance. For instance, if a plumber has been contracted to come to site on a certain day but the materials they need have not been delivered then you are paying the labour costs for work that is not getting done. The delay in the plumbing will have a knock on effect later in the project as the next stage of the building work will not be able to start on time, and the next one, and the next one.…. Little delays like this are commonplace if a project is not managed effectively and each delay adds up and can severely delay the completion of your project. Of course, time is money and if the next tradesman arrives before the plumber has finished, they can’t start their work and the cycle starts again - More wasted money on labour and further delays. We use specialised project management software to monitor the build schedule so this doesn’t happen. The project schedule is interactive and is shared between all trades and other professionals involved in your build so that everyone is working together more efficiently and we can monitor the progress of your whole project on site or remotely at any time.

Quality Control. We will continually monitor the quality of the construction work carried out on your project. We will inspect the completion of every stage of the build and certify the quality of the work before any payments are made to the contractor, giving you protection and peace of mind.

Health and Safety. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing of everyone involved in the building process is paramount and we will make sure all Health and Safety guidelines are being adhered to as a priority.
